Comment on "Why SIP sucks and IAX rocks - a rant on latency and the media path"

I'm sorry but IAX isn't better than SIP... You're just trading one set of problems for another.

Comment on "How to use an old Mac laptop as a passable external display for a new one"

ScreenRecycler can also use a Windows machine as a second monitor.

If you want to spread a Windows desktop across computers, MaxiVista does that. This comment thread points to some more options.

DMX does the same for Linux. ShareKMC is mentioned as a free program for Windows, but I couldn't find it to download.

If you don't need to spread the desktop out but just want to control a bunch of computers with one mouse/keyboard (i.e. network KV switch) then try Synergy .

Comment on "AdSense accuracy?"

Good call, yes I noticed the same thing on my sites, of which I have quite a few. Consistently showing less adsense clicks than actually occurred. I also note that the more sites I put up, the less I get per click per website! Often this is less than 3 cents per click, even though having used adwords I know the adsense ads for one of those sites start at over 2 euro a click! So the daily amount earned is stuck at the same low level as it was when I had 2 sites, as it does when I know have 8. Like you I don't click on my own ads, I've even watched someone else visit my site and click on an adsense ad on their machine and it wasn't recorded at all.

So, I'm just waiting for a more reliable system to come along now. If you can't trust Google to record the correct amount, what's the point?

"Delete Forever" appears to really mean that. If you're looking for mistakenly caught spam, make sure you use "Not Spam".

Unfortunately, you're probably out of luck. Can you ask the sender to send you another copy?
